Hi, I’m Candice, a Senior UX and Visual Designer and Product Lead.

Currently, I work for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau designing and leading a team developing tools to empower and help American consumers better understand their financial decisions. I was led to the CFPB by my commitment to design work that creates change and to help others.

Prior to joining the CFPB, I worked at the Sustainable Engineering Lab at the Earth Institute of Columbia where I designed and managed social innovation tools like the Nigeria Millenium Development Goals Information System, to assist in data-driven planning at scale. Additionally, Revisit, a data collection tool that aims to streamline the collection process as well as build a central facility repository to help coordinate aid and maintain a more complete and up-to-date picture of social infrastructure, sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Aside from design, I’m a runner and dig the outdoors. You can spot me running in the park and traveling across the globe. A few years ago, I started a journey to learn more about natural dying and weaving that led me to Oaxaca, Mexico, which began a new textile side-project, Wanderer, and a love of speaking Spanish.

I’m based in Brooklyn, but I’m proud to have grown up in a small Wisconsin town. I fully own the stereotypes of loving good beer and cheese.

Thanks for stopping by.
